ALDUB More than words

It has been two days since Yaya Dub, the other half of the love team ALDUB, has uttered her first words.  Yes, first words (with an S) because she uttered two names.  The first time was in the episode after their first most awaited date.  She came back with her head bandaged due to a minor car accident after running away from the ALDUB date to get to Lola Nidora in time for her medication.  The episode ended with the voice of a woman calling "Lola".  Suddenly, Lola Nidora and Lola Tidora found Yaya Dub lying unconscious.  That was her first word.

On 22 September 2015, Yaya Dub was not physically present but she was only on the phone.  Lola Nidora said that she was resting from yesterday's passing out incidence.  Yaya called several times.  She was still dubsmashing on the phone but then she suddenly uttered, "Lola", "Alden".  Those were her next words.  

Babbling is a stage in child development wherein the child is like vocalizing syllables but not yet forming words.  At 12-17 months, this is the time the child  may begin to say one or more words.

Comparing child development with Yaya Dub's development in kalyeserye, babble is her dubsmash. She actually is quite advanced in her development because she has already uttered her first two words - Lola and Alden, in only just more than two months. :))  She has also soared high in her career from dubsmash queen to, commercials and soon movies (she is currently shooting My Bebe Love with Alden, Vic Sotto and Ai Ai delas Alas).

Her first two words could be symbolic.  Her first two words could mean more than words.  Her first two words could mean more than advance development.

What could it mean?

• Say what you mean and mean what you say.  Yaya Dub's first two words - Lola and Alden - could be coming from her heart for these are the two people whom she loves the most.

• For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.  In the bible, Luke 6:45 says A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.  Whatever is overflowing in Yaya's heart, she speaks.  Alden! Lola!

• Ever heard of the saying, "follow your heart"?  Well, Yaya Dub just followed her heart and her heart says, Lola and Alden!

• “Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray.” ― Rumi.  Yaya Dub as obedient as she is was drawn to what she really loves - Lola and Alden.  (I need oxygen now!!! ha ha ha )

• "Her heart was talking now..." - Karen Kingsbury, Even now.  Well?  

Whatever the meaning of Yaya Dub's first two words, wherever it came from and whoever it is (that she uttered), one thing is for sure - the heart is speaking more than words!

Pastillas versus MikMik (cryptic)

There are things that are better left uncompared and let the people judge their popularity.  When you have a favorite food, you always wanted to have more even if something new has been introduced.  Just like the wars of street food.  Let's say for example pastillas and mikmmik.

 PASTILLAS

Pastillas or pastillas de leche is a Filipino sweet delicacy made out of powdered milk, condensed milk and sugar.  

• Pastillas is sweet but when the milk gets burned, it becomes bitter.
• Pastillas is a beauty but then again you can see sadness.
• Pastillas can be easily done and copied over and over again.
• Some Pastillas recipe are just trying hard, copy cats.
• With Pastillas, after you finish and there's no more, you get really sad and bitter.

Mik Mik on the other hand is a ready to sip powdered milk that children and adult alike have loved.  It is instant.  Just a sip away and you are in for the thrill of your street food journey.

• MikMik is sweet and the sweeter it gets in time.
• MikMik is beautiful, and when you sip, happiness over flows.
• MikMik is original brand,  cannot be copied, cannot be made the same because it is the one and only original brand.
• MikMik is the brand that is really hard to copy becaus it started the sweetened milk powder product.
• With MikMik you cannot explain the joy, the fun and the love you will feel before, during and after indulging.
• Lastly, MikMik reached 12.1 million tweets.

#ALDUBMostAwaitedDate for Guiness book of world records

According to Inquirer. net, the hashtag #ALDUBMostAwaitedDate reached 12.1 million:

According to their final and unofficial report, the #ALDUBMostAwaitedDate hit a total of 12,125,300 tweets by 12 am Sunday.

The count started on Saturday 12 am with 505,900 tweets. By 1 pm, the latest hashtag reached 7,497,200 tweets, surpassing the show’s previous feat for #ALDUBTheAbduction which earned 6.4 million.

By 3 pm, a little after the show ended, the hashtag breached the 10 million mark almost all fans aimed for.

It is believed by many that this tweets of 12 million could get into the Guinness Book of World record.  Wow another Record for the Philippines?  

Not only that, God gave me you singer, Bryan White was fascinated by the ALDUB tandem and would be soon visiting the Philippines, according to his FB Bryan White.

The unity shown by Filipinos all over the world does not only show that there is hope that we can still  unite as one country, one people.  As Lola Nidora would tweet, Unity in Diversity.  ALDUB you all!

ALDUB's first date!

And so it happened.  Millions, actually proven by 10 million tweets, witnessed the first date of the sensational amazing phenomenal love team, ALDUB.  The excitement was felt all over the world.  Although in Dubai we had a hard time with live streaming, it did not stop us to watch it live simultaneously with our loved ones in the Philippines.  It was like watching while sitting with your family.  We tweet together and watch at the same time.  It was another bonding moment with our families back home.  It was indeed a record breaking event.  Last night before I slept, it was already one million tweets, maybe around 11:45 p.m. Dubai time.  At 11:00 a.m. Dubai time, the tweets reached 7 million.  Joey de leon, one of the hosts of Eat Bulaga, said that he is happy even with 8  million tweets but the audience shouted and gestured 10 million! Indeed, we have reached 10 million and counting.

What can we learn from this first date?

• No touch and other oldies rules.  Lola Nidora, the grandmother of Yaya Dub laid down rules for the first date, which Yaya Dub and Alden obediently followed today.

• Respect the girl's parents by asking permission.

• Stick to the rules.  Although the ALDUB love team almost wanted to  break the rule, they controlled themselves and remembered lola's rules.

• Do not pretend.  Be who you are.  They were both actually  not acting.  They were who they are and that made people love them.

• Do not bare your skin, especially for girls.  Alam namin maputi na mga kilikili nyo.  (we know you have white armpits) ha ha ha.  Look at Yaya Dub.  She wore the most elegant and most respectful dress for a first date.  If you want respect, respect yourself first.

• Family First.  Though the two were enjoying the date, when the medication alarm clock rang, Yaya Dub came running out so she will be able to give the medication of her grandmother, lola Nidora.

• Lastly, Be compatible.  There were 10 questions of compatibility from which the two answered 7, getting the questions maliwanag o madilim (light or darkness) and sweet or spicy wrong.

I still cannot get over the event.  Thank you Eat Bulaga, my endorphins are high.  It helps me recuperate and somehow forget that I am sick.  To Aldubnation, it's the lesson, not the number of tweets! Move forward for more happy moments.

Aldub is the accidental love team of Maine Mendoza (the Philippines' dub smash queen) and Alden Richards, a boy next door actor and host of Eat Bulaga.  Eat Bulaga is the longest running noontime show in the Philippines.  I have grown up with Eat Bulaga.  This noontime show has been my family's entertainment from then until now even if most of us have gone abroad.  Alden on the other hand has been my favorite since his love team with Louise de los reyes who is another dramatic actress.  I even joked my son, Gorby, in 2011 when he was being bullied at school for having no parents present, that he can choose from Piolo, Aljur or Alden as a replacement father.  Yes, I am a single mom but a happy and contented one.  Anyway, back to Aldub phenomena.  Yes, its been a phenomena since it has been the TTP (top trending post) in twitter almost every single day.  The highest of which is more than 6 million tweets.  I am proud to be part of that twitter party from team Dubai.  I remember the first time i watched them two months ago.  I posted it on my Facebook page on 17 July 2015 as i only watch through the FB page of Eat Bulaga.  Their love team really started on the 16th of September 2015 at 1:47 p.m. (Philippine time).

Reasons why i love ALDUB from the start:

• Very natural.  Nothing like an unscripted love team.  Accidental but real.
• Lesson.  There is always a lesson in every episode and in every moment they are (maybe) acting or not.
• Virtues.  It brings back virtues that most of us forgot when we have grown.  
• Patience.  It teaches patience as the grand mother, Lola Nidora, would always say "sa tamang panahon" (at the right time).
• Love. The root of all happiness.

Thank you Aldub for raising our endorphins (happy hormones) everyday.  This truly is God's miracle because LOVE is the connection.  Thanks to ALDUB I forgot I'm sick.  Need I say more?

I stand for Ahmed

Remember Ahmed? He is the child in Texas who was arrested because he is so brilliant that he invented something like a clock?  The teacher thought maybe because he is Muslim, he I just made a bomb (oh i just hate this word).  Well, I am a Christian but I am standing up for this brilliant boy!  Ahmed, I salute you and pray that you continue to be an inventor for the good of all man kind.  As you have said, "Do not let people change who you are!" Go Ahmed!
