The housemates - Vangie and Winona

Gara lives with two very supportive housemates, Vangie played by Cai Cortez and Winona, played by Cacai Bautista.

Vangie is is the voluptous friend of Gara who has the habit of reciting lyrics of songs during conversations.  She was the one who prophesied that Andrew would be the first boyfriend of Gara.  She is a very supportive, honest and loving friend of Gara.

Winona, just like Vangie, is equally supportive and loving but she is more focused on the reality of relationships and would always contradict Vangie's ideas.  She is likewise supportive, honest and loving.

Among the characters in Imagine You and Me, I saw myself in these two housemates.  Maybe because i have the same personality as them.

Imagine You and Me again and again

How many times did you watch Imagine you and Me on big screen?  For me and my friends, this is just the second time after we had a block screening for a cause.  We are still planning for more IYAM movie screening.  NOT online or pirated copies.  The real movie house on the big screen.

Why do we go to movie houses when we want to watch IYAM again and again?  Because we support this movie for the love of Alden and Maine.  I personally would not like to add to the insults that the pirated copies of the movie IYAM had made.  Being an ALDUB fan i feel i have a social responsibility of saying NO to piracy especially when it comes to my two favorites.

Another thing why we watch IYAM again and again is because maybe just maybe the ending will end.  You know where the smack will become torrid kissing scene he he he

Which Imagine You and Me character are you? (Part 4)

Tita Terry portrayed by Irma Adlawan

Tita Terry is the step mother of Andrew.  She has been widowed by Leonardo, the father of Andrew, for two years.  Gara has been working for Tita Terry for a long time.  Even if it has been two years since Senor Leonardo died, Tita Terry kept on cooking his favorite food because the they he died, Tita Terry promised to cook his favorite food.  Apparently, it was also Gara and her housemates' favorite.  Andrew was indifferent of Tita Terry because when he was growing up he was brain washed by his mother that Tita Terry was the reason why Senor Leonardo left them but the real story was the other way around.

Which Imagine You and Me character are you (Part 3)

Clarissa or Isay portrayed by Jasmine Curtis-Smith

If you knew that your days are numbered because of leukemia, what would you do for the rest of your time?  Clarissa made a pact with her parents (who also died of cancer) not to suffer and die in a hospital, so she chose to stay in their home in Como, Italy.  Clarissa or Isay was the girlfriend of Andres (Alden Richards).  He proposed to Isay one time  but Isay refused leaving him without any trace or answers from what could have been questions.  Isay denied the proposal of Andrew not because she already knew she was sick but because she was not sure if Andrew would really like to marry her for the sake of marrying her or for the sake of having his own family which he longed so much.  Isay is alsothe owner of Molly, the dog which Gara takes care of.  And that is where the twist of fate comes in.

It was not a pleasant moment when Andrew and Gara first met.  They met accidentally because Andrew's bag was stolen, which was then taken by Gara from the snatcher.  Call it serendipity.  The real fortunate accident happened when they finally fell in love.  Who is Andrew and what are his characteristics?  Are you Andrew?

Which character of Imagine You and Me are you?

After few days of watching Imagine you and me, the first Aldub movie, I just can't get over it.  Do you feel the same?  Let me describe each character and comment below if you see yourself in that character.

Gara or Gracianna played by Maine Mendoza aka Yaya Dub

Gara is a free-spirted woman who I assume was carrying a gigantic basin when God showered positivity on earth, and she caught them all.  She is the bread winner of the family.  Love for the family is her main reason why she had to go abroad and work domestic jobs.  Gara is NBSB or no boyfriend since birth.  She is a hopeless romantic who sees Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare as a happy love story instead of a tragic love story.  She aims to go to Verona, Italy with her one true love.   Gara, like most women, does believe in prince charming, knight in shining armor and dashing debonnaire prince riding a horse.  She is romantic.  She is funny.  Most of all, she is kind-hearted and honest.

Imagine You and Me Dubai Block Screening

On 29 July 2016, the Handmaids of the Lord, one of the family ministires of the Couple for Christ, had a block screening of the ALDUB movie, Imagine You and Me.   This block screening is for the benefit of the scholars from ANCOP or answering the cry of the poor, which is a fund raising arm of the Couples for Christ for the less fortunate people in the Philippines.

The block screening started with a raffle sponsored by generous members of the Handmaids of the Lord.  The prizes include YES magazine wherein ALDUB is on the front cover, mugs, t-shirts and three balikbayan boxes from Pinas cargo.

Even after the  movie, our smiles are deep within the bone marrow (ngiting tagos hanggang bone marrow).  My flatmates who were with me during the block screening was amazed how the women of the handmaids of the Lord could scream so loud just because of Aldub.  I told them, well once in our lives we had been hurt, pained and troubled to the point that our hearts have been numbed, but when Aldub came to us, they gave us another option....the option of believing in love eternal.  They made us once again believe that it is okay to wait for that one true love in the right time that has been destined to you.  They made us increase our patience as we wait on that one person destined to be our forever.  Watching Aldub on this movie gave us more endorphins with the ups and downs of emotions of laughter, crying and laughter once again.  And finally, Aldub taught is to take things easy and laugh our problems off.

Thank you for all the love and support of the CFC handmaids of the Lord Dubai for the block screening of Imagine You and Me.  Thank you ALDUB fan moms of Dubai!

ALDUB first year anniversary

It's been a year since I fell in love with not just one but to two young people who revived my sleeping emotions.  I thought I will never fall in love again but ALDUB made me believe in "together eternally".

Because of my ALDUB blogs, ADSENSE has finally given me advertisement spots on my blog after a long time of denial and rejections.  Just because of my blogs about ALDUB, i got a lot of views and, voila! ads on my blog.  

These and Beyond

They made me believe that 40ish and above can still be cute with the "pabebe wave."  :)

ALDUB nation competed against their own records making twitter history of 12 million tweets during the ALDUB first date and 41 million  tweets during the tamang panahon.  This only goes to show that we can unite if we really want to.  We are talking about milllions babeee!!

During my sickness and surgery, it was ALDUB who made me feel sane despite of an almost a month-long isolation.

That ALDUB hug made me once again believe that there are still few good men...Hallelujah!

I have a lot of ALDUB memories.  I cannot list all of them for it won't be enough.  I think the universe conspired to make Maine and Alden into ALDUB.  No one can stop them! No one can hinder them!  No one....because ALDUB is LOVE!
